Elb-Kehren GmbH, a specialist in precision grinding technologies, has announced a restructuring plan aimed at strengthening its competitiveness, quality standards, and customer service by consolidating manufacturing operations at a single site in Germany.
Under the new structure, the company will discontinue manufacturing activities at its Aschaffenburg facility and transfer production to its plant in Troisdorf. Elb-Kehren said that research and development, as well as sales, service, and administrative functions, will continue to operate from Aschaffenburg, allowing the company to retain core expertise and ensure business continuity.
Management said the decision reflects evolving global market requirements and the need to position Elb-Kehren as a reliable long-term partner for customers. By centralizing production at one integrated manufacturing site, the company aims to improve operational focus, increase flexibility, and enhance cost efficiency, while maintaining the high quality and reliability for which it is known.
“With the combined site, new opportunities will be available, and we believe that this is an opportunity for all of us,” said Dr. Ing. Markus Weiler, managing director of Elb-Kehren. “Maintaining high quality, reliability, and flexibility will remain key indicators for our customers.”
As part of the restructuring, the workforce at the Aschaffenburg site will be reduced. Elb-Kehren described this as a difficult but necessary step and expressed appreciation to the affected employees for their commitment and contributions to the company.
The company views the consolidation as a strategic investment in its future. With a sharper focus on efficiency, innovation, and customer value, Elb-Kehren said it is confident the new structure will strengthen its ability to meet the demands of modern manufacturing and continue serving customers worldwide.
