Danfoss Power Solutions has reached an agreement to acquire Hydro Holding SpA, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of hose fittings and hydraulic connection solutions. Headquartered in Castello d’Argile, Italy, Hydro Holding will become part of Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance business following the completion of the transaction.
The acquisition is expected to reinforce the company’s position in the European market and further strengthen the Fluid Conveyance division, which already includes well-established brands such as Aeroquip, Weatherhead, Hansen and Waltech. The move aligns with Danfoss’ LEAP 2030 strategy aimed at accelerating profitable and sustainable growth.
Daniel Winter, President of Danfoss Power Solutions, described the acquisition as a strong strategic fit for both companies. “Bringing Hydro Holding into the Danfoss Fluid Conveyance family is an excellent match. Together, we will establish a powerful hub for hose and connection solutions in Europe. This partnership will generate strong synergies, expand our market share and enable us to deliver more innovative and comprehensive solutions to our customers,” he said.
Hydro Holding CEO Stefano Bordegnoni also emphasized the strategic significance of the agreement. “Joining Danfoss Power Solutions represents an important milestone for Hydro Holding and our entire team. We share common values such as customer focus, quality and innovation. Our product portfolio perfectly complements Danfoss’ hose solutions, creating strong commercial and manufacturing synergies,” he noted.
Hydro Holding specializes in carbon and stainless steel fittings, adapters, hose assemblies and formed steel tube solutions. The company serves a wide range of industries including material handling, oil and gas, agriculture, marine, construction, mining and chemicals.
The company operates four manufacturing facilities in Italy, one in the Czech Republic and maintains a sales office in the United Kingdom. With approximately 350 employees, Hydro Holding generates an annual turnover of around €60 million.
Domenico Traverso, President of the Fluid Conveyance business at Danfoss Power Solutions, stated that maintaining the company’s successful structure will be a key priority after the acquisition. “Hydro Holding will operate as a distinct business unit within our Fluid Conveyance segment and will play a key role in our European growth strategy. By combining Hydro Holding’s strong expertise in connection solutions with Danfoss’ hose portfolio, we will deliver more integrated and differentiated solutions to our customers,” he said.
The transaction remains subject to approval by relevant regulatory authorities, including competition bodies, and is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.
