Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM), the electric mobility division of Greaves Cotton Limited, has announced its entry into Nepal through a strategic partnership with STC Auto Solution Private Limited. As part of its international expansion, GEM has introduced its flagship electric scooter, the Ampere Nexus, aimed at meeting the growing demand for reliable electric two-wheelers in the region.
The Ampere Nexus has been engineered to perform across Nepal’s challenging road and climate conditions. The scooter is designed to handle steep gradients, uneven terrain, and high-altitude temperature variations. Equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, stable ride configuration, and strong torque delivery, it offers consistent performance in both urban traffic and hilly routes.
The model has already proven its capabilities in demanding terrains, including the sharp bends of Kolli Hills in South India and the high-altitude Shipki La Pass. These trials validated its performance, durability, and safety, ensuring the scooter is well-suited to Nepal’s diverse landscape.
The Nepal launch is part of Greaves Electric Mobility’s broader international expansion strategy, supporting the transition toward cleaner transportation by providing practical and locally adapted electric mobility solutions.
