JD Cables Limited has taken a significant step toward expanding its manufacturing capacity with the acquisition of industrial land and buildings in Hooghly district, West Bengal. The company announced that it signed an Agreement for Sale on October 13, 2025, with Star Battery Limited to purchase a property spanning approximately 164.29 cottah, or around 118,288 square feet, at Mouza–Dankunibill in Dankuni.
The total consideration for the transaction stands at ₹10.45 crore. The site includes existing sheds and structures, making it immediately suitable for industrial operations. According to the agreement, the conveyance deed is expected to be executed within two months following the full payment of the sale value.
In parallel with the land acquisition, JD Cables has placed orders worth ₹5.72 crore for new machinery for its Conductor Division. The equipment will be installed at the newly acquired facility and is intended to enhance production efficiency, improve product quality, and increase overall output.
The expansion aligns with JD Cables’ broader strategic roadmap focused on capacity augmentation, modernization, and long-term sustainable growth. The company aims to strengthen its ability to meet rising domestic demand while also positioning itself for future export opportunities.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director Piyush Garodia said the acquisition represents a key milestone in the company’s growth journey. He noted that the new facility and advanced machinery will enable JD Cables to scale up production and further improve operational excellence, reinforcing its market presence in an increasingly competitive cable and conductor industry.
