Tezmaksan Robot Technologies has expanded its long-standing collaboration with UFC Automotive through the commissioning of a second CubeBOX robotic automation line at UFC Automotive’s tractor clutch production facility in Turkey. The new installation supports continuous, robot-assisted manufacturing and forms part of UFC Automotive’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
The latest deployment builds on more than ten years of cooperation between the two companies and reflects a shared focus on advancing automation within Turkish manufacturing. The move comes as industry continues to play a significant role in Turkey’s economy, accounting for more than a quarter of national GDP in 2024, increasing pressure on manufacturers to adopt digitally enabled production systems.
UFC Automotive operates as both an original equipment manufacturer and supplier, producing tractor clutch systems for domestic and international markets. Given the safety-critical and functional importance of clutch components, the company prioritises high levels of precision, process stability, and traceability across its operations.
The newly commissioned CubeBOX system is designed to service three CNC machines continuously for up to 22 hours per day. The automated setup replaces processes that previously required multiple operators, enabling a significant shift toward lights-out production. As a result, UFC Automotive has reported notable gains in operational performance, including higher productivity, reduced labour dependency, and lower overall production costs. The addition of a second CubeBOX line is expected to further enhance process consistency while reducing manual handling and variability.
From Tezmaksan’s perspective, the project demonstrates how modular CNC automation can be integrated into existing production environments with measurable results. The CubeBOX system is engineered to support extended machine uptime while remaining accessible and operator-friendly, making it suitable for manufacturers seeking scalable automation rather than fully bespoke solutions.
UFC Automotive plans to continue working with Tezmaksan on future digitalisation initiatives, with a focus on strengthening competitiveness in both local and global markets. The partnership highlights a broader trend within Turkish industry toward practical automation investments that deliver immediate efficiency gains while laying the foundation for more data-driven and resilient manufacturing operations.
