Californian manufacturer MEC Aerial Work Platforms is introducing its new Plus/+ slab electric scissor lifts at The ARA Show in Orlando next week, with selected models also appearing at Conexpo in Las Vegas. The new “Plus Line” includes eight models ranging from 19 to 45 feet in platform height and varying deck widths, including the Micro 19+, Micro 19-XD+, Micro 26+, Micro 26-XD+, 3232+, 3346+, 4046+, and 4555+.
The smaller Micro 19+ and Micro 19-XD+ models are equipped with direct AC brushless front-wheel drive motors, improving duty cycles by approximately eight percent over current models. The larger six models feature PMSR AC+ motors, which recapture 30 percent of lifting energy and reportedly increase duty cycles by 22 percent. All eight models also offer higher maximum platform capacities, with deck extension and Xtra-Deck capacities increasing from 113 kg to 136 kg.
The Plus Line is designed to enhance productivity on site, allowing operators to reach working positions quickly and operate longer without interruptions. The range emphasizes usability, runtime, and efficient lifting, providing crews with more capacity and fewer operational constraints. MEC’s new scissor lifts will be on display for attendees to see their features and performance firsthand, with reports from the events expected in the coming week.
